Bostone back in jail

Woman with five active felony cases faces new charges

Jenifer M. Bostone, 30, Waupaca, is charged with four counts of felony bail jumping.

On Jan. 16, a 911 caller reported Bostone was high and police needed to escort her from a house on Harriet Street.

When Waupaca Police Officer Tom Grant arrived, he found Bostone sitting in the caller’s vehicle.

According to the criminal complaint, Bostone had no shoes on and was wearing very light clothing for single-digit temperatures.

Grant reported Bostone appeared agitated and could not maintain focus.

She denied using drugs.

Bostone allegedly had been living off-and-on at the Harriet Street house since her release from jail about a month earlier.

Other residents at the house said Bostone had gone to Appleton and became stranded. A roommate drove there to give her a ride back to Waupaca.

Bostone allegedly took alprazolam and smoked methamphetamine while in Appleton.

She currently remains in custody on a $2,500 cash bond.

At the time of her Jan. 16 arrest, Bostone was already out on an amended cash bond for three felony cases in Waupaca County and two felony cases in Outagamie County.

Conditions of her bonds include not to possess illegal drugs and not to commit any crimes.

Among her prior charges since May 2019 are two counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs, burglary, theft and five counts of felony bail jumping.

On Jan. 6, 2016, Bostone was convicted of felony narcotics possession and placed on two years of probation.

Her probation was revoked on June 28, 2016, and she was sentenced to 18 months in state prison and 18 months of extended supervision.
