Multi-dual up next in Wittenberg

Central Wisconsin Conference dual meet wins are adding up for the Weyauwega-Fremont wrestling team.

The Indians picked up a 56-12 win Jan. 20 over Menominee Indian and a 72-12 victory Jan. 16 over Almond-Bancroft/Pacelli.

The Indians improved to 3-1 in CWD duals with a rescheduled home win over the Eagles.

Danny Wilson (132 pounds), Mason Marquette (145), Ethan Lamoureux (152), Max Meyerhofer (160) and Skylor Maynard (220) had pins for Weyauwega-Fremont.

Devin Kuenzi and Ben Strehlow won their matches at 138 and 195, respectively, while the Eagles forfeited to Clayton Fee (106), Carter Greening (120) and Cal Loughrin (170).

Wilson (132), Kuenzi (138) and Meyerhofer (160) had pins for the Indians.

A-B/Pacelli also forfeited matches to Fee (106), Isaiah Schuh (113), Greening (120), Marquette (145), Lamoureux (152), Caden Meisenhelder (160), Strehlow (195) and Brock Sanger (220).
“These were good duals for our team to build momentum going

into this weekends crucial CWC duals,” coach Tim Potratz said.

The Indians will head to Wittenberg Saturday, Jan. 25, for a CWC multi-dual meet with Wittenberg-Birnamwood, Pittsville, Rosholt, Shiocton and Tri-County. Matches are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m.
