Meth bust in Manawa

Drug charges follow traffic stop

Alexander M. Madson, 27, Manawa, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Monday, Jan. 27, Waupaca County Deputy Bryan Strobusch pulled over a Pontiac Grand Prix on North Bridge Street in Manawa.

According to the criminal complaint, the driver, Beau Baker, failed to use a turn signal and had a revoked license.

Madson was a passenger, and he had several warrants for his arrest, the complaint says.

Strobusch reported finding meth in a backpack on the back seat behind the front passenger seat.

Officers seized drug paraphernalia during a search of Madson’s room at his grandparents’ home.

Madson is currently in custody on the prior warrants.
