Anderson, Bernice

Bernice R. Anderson, age 81 of Clintonville, went home to be with her Valentine, early Saturday morning, February 15, 2020 at Post Atrium Acute Care at Maple Lane.

Bernice Ruth Anderson was born October 25, 1938 in the Township of Maine, daughter to the late George L. and Alice (Strong) Fields. She attended Sunset Elementary School in the Town of Maine, then Meadow Grove in Deer Creek, later attending Clintonville High School. Bernice was united in marriage to Victor “Vic” Anderson on January 19, 1957 at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville. She worked at Hansen Glove Factory for 12 years until the business closed, later working at Simmons Juvenile Products until her retirement in the late 1990s. Bernice was a faithful, active member of Christus Lutheran Church. Bernice and Vic enjoyed their time at the cottage on Lac Vieux Desert and loved to fish up there. Bernice was a huge Packers fan and also loved to play Sheepshead and always got her walking done around Clintonville. She will be remembered as a hard-worker who loved her family dearly.

Bernice is survived by: daughter, Carol (Larry Stilen) Koplien, Clintonville; sons, Roger (Lois) Anderson, Clintonville and David (Rose) Anderson, Clintonville; grandchildren: Cory Desmond, Clintonville; Cathy (Robert) Besch, New London; Michael Anderson, Clintonville; Travis (Kristin) Anderson, Clintonville; Scott (Robyn) Bailey, Waupaca; Joe (Bridget) Bailey, Manawa, and Lori (Todd) Mattes, Clintonville; great-grandchildren: Tyler Schulz, Cameron Sparks, Jayden and Landon Anderson, Henry Desmond, Connor, Dawson and Avery Bailey, Marlee and Zhenya Mattes; brothers, Robert (Rachael) Fields, Clintonville and Joseph (Janet) Fields, Bear Creek. Numerous other relatives and friends. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor; a son-in-law, Robert Koplien; a sister, Ruth in infancy; brothers, Leonard, Irvin, and Gerald Fields.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville with Intern Shelly Klemp officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
