Drug bust in Clintonville

Police find meth during search

Clintonville police reported finding methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia when they executed a search warrant on Brent Street Tuesday, March 17.

Two people were arrested and charged.

Amber M. Thorn, 27, Tigerton, is charged with possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor bail jumping.

She was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond with the conditions that she maintain absolute sobriety and not possess any needles.

Trevor J. Born, 30, Clintonville, was charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of felony bail jumping and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

Born was released after posting a $400 cash bond.

According to the criminal complaints, Clintonville police had been informed there was drug paraphernalia in plain sight and multiple people using drugs in the basement.

When they went downstairs, officers found Thorn on the couch with a used needle beside her.

They also found a backpack with three syringes loaded with a dark substance and 14 unused syringes with caps.

When Clintonville Police Officer Tyler Bartel questioned her, Thorn initially denied the backpack belonged to her.

However, a casino card with her name was in the backpack.

Then, Thorn reportedly admitted it was her backpack, but the needles did not belong to her.

She then said the dark substance in the needles was her blood.

She eventually admitted the needles were loaded with meth, the complaint says.

Officers also found two straw scoops, a burnt tinfoil roll and a spoon, a counterfeit $100 bill and a black plastic pen with burnt tinfoil shaped like a pipe.

Numerous used and new needles and pipes were located throughout the house.

Born said he had been in Green Bay that day and when he returned home, he found about half a dozen people in his basement using illegal drugs.

He also admitted to using meth earlier that day, the complaint says.

On Dec. 17, 2019, Menominee County charged Born with possession of methamphetamine and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

He was released from custody after posting a $1,000 cash bond.

On Feb. 7, Outagamie County charged Born with possession of marijuana, two counts of felony bail jumping and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.

He was released after posting a $500 cash bond.
