Peter G. Brandt, age 88 of Waupaca passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.
Peter was born November 9, 1931, the son of the late Peter Schneekloth and Helen Brandt. He married Sherry Pope on November 2, 1956 in Waupaca, WI. Peter joined the United States Army in 1949 and served during the Korean War receiving a purple heart and a bronze star. He worked for Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac until his retirement. He enjoyed reading and refurbishing M1 rifles.
Peter is survived by his daughters: Kim Brandt, Julie (Nick) Sych, Michele McGowan, Barbara (Jerry) Harvancik; grandchildren: Nicholas (Michelle) Sych, William Sych, Kylie (Austin) Birner, Bridget (Jon) Donahue, Margaret McGowen, Sean McGowen, Matthew Wilkinson, Emily Wilkinson, Lindsay Wilkinson, Jordan Wilkinson, Chelse Klein, Marissa Klein; great-grandchildren: Hailey, Audrey, Braydon, Bryce, Jakon, Carsyn, Destiney, Justus; brother-in-law, Gary (Janet) Pope; sisters-in-law, Beverly Zindler, Leta Pope, Geraldine Schneekloth; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Peter is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sherry; brother, Tom Schneekloth, and sister, Shirley Greenwood.
