New London extends emergency procedures

All New London city buildings will remain closed to the public through Friday, April 24.

These closure dates may be extended as the city monitors directives and recommendations from state and county health officials.

During the facility closures, the public may still schedule an appointment to register to vote, cast absentee ballots or submit building plans, permits and inspections.

To make an appointment, contact the city office at 920-982-8500.

Citizens who are comfortable casting absentee ballots via mail are encouraged to do so by calling the city office and asking for details.

Anyone needing to make payments to the utility department can do so online or through the drop box located at the front of the utility Office.

Residents may also make city utility payments in the drop box located at the front of the city office.

The city ensures residents and businesses that all essential services will be maintained throughout the extended facility closures.

Departments

• Emergency services relating to Police and Fire will remain unchanged. Each of these departments may be changing operations for non-emergency situations to best protect responders and the individuals they come into contact with.

• Public works operations will continue as normal. This includes electric, water and sewer utilities. Operations deemed non-essential may be put on hold to mitigate contact between crew members and the public. Anyone with problems relating to these services during this time will still be serviced.

• Senior Van Service will run for essential needs.
