Waupaca County has temporarily closed the Wolf River Sturgeon Trail, which follows the Wolf River along County Trunk X just west of New London.
The trail is a popular destination for people to watch lake sturgeon spawning in the river.
The COVID-19 outbreak has caused the county to close the trail to prevent the gathering of crowds. The trail will reopen after the sturgeon run ends.
County officials have also closed restrooms at country-operated boat landings, but the landings remained open as of April 13.
