Felony pot bust on U.S. 10

Driver on probation when arrested

Parker J. Langworthy, 22, Appleton, is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, felony possession of marijuana and operating with a controlled substance.

On April 16, Waupaca County Deputy Adam Lange stopped a vehicle for speeding on U.S. Highway 10 in rural Fremont.

The driver, identified as Langworthy, told the deputy there were two bags of marijuana and a firearm in the center console.

Deputy Adam Labrosse confiscated a 9mm hand gun loaded with seven rounds of ammo and a plastic bag with nine 9mm rounds.

According to the criminal complaint, Langworthy said he purchased and smoked marijuana in Wausau prior to the traffic stop.

Deputies found about 54 grams of marijuana.

On May 8, 2018, Washington County convicted Langworthy of operating with a controlled substance. The court revoked his driver’s license for six months, then suspended his license indefinitely after Langworthy failed to pay his fines.

On April 4, 2019, Outagamie County placed Langworthy on 24 months of probation after convicting him of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and maintaining a drug trafficking place.

Langworthy is scheduled to appear in Outagamie Court for a probation-revocation hearing on June 11.

He is currently in custody on a probation hold.
