Cihlar, Lynn (Hintz)

Lynn (Hintz) Cihlar passed away peacefully in her sleep April 26, 2020 in the Manawa Community Nursing Center.

She was interred Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Lakeview Memorial Park.

She had worked as a nurse for many years and in many areas, she put importance on education and completed her master’s in education. She enjoyed laughing and teasing, she could sometimes say things, that would leave you dumbfounded and she’d say, “I’m joking.” She was passionate for pie, she could make an amazing lard pie crust, and enjoyed eating pie with a dollop of cool whip® She made shopping a kind of sport, she would shop for all different items, exercise equipment, clothes, hunting and fishing items, treats and things for her dogs and cats, she would find items that were bargains or once very expensive. She also enjoyed giving items that she had once treasured, and would check in and see how the items were fitting into your life. She loved her dogs, Princess, Pumpkin and Abigale, they all had been placed with loving families, before her death and she enjoyed hearing about how they were doing, as well as her cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and LaVern Hintz; she is survived by her son, “ Jimmy” James L Barber IV, his wife Phyllis, their son, Carsin Barber, granddaughter Jayne Barber, granddaughter Erin Minton, her husband Ryan Minton, their children her great-grandchildren, Masson and Nethaniel Aydin and grandson, Justin Hoefferle of Waupaca Wisconsin.

Our love and appreciation to the Manawa Community Nursing Center for the incredible care, compassion and kindness that was given to Lynn Cihlar during her stay, especially during these unprecedented conditions.
