National Guard opens site at fairgrounds
Waupaca County is partnering with the Wisconsin National Guard to provide free COVID-19 testing from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds, 602 E. South St., Weyauwega.
The testing is offered to any Wisconsin resident with symptoms or concerns about COVID-19.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include any of the following: fever, coughing, shortness of breath, chills, muscle aches and abnormalities in tasting and smell.
For many, the symptoms are mild with no fever.
Testing is available for those age 5 and older.
A parent of guardian must accompany any minor age 5-15 to consent to the testing.
People who participate in the drive-thru testing should not leave their car and must wear a cloth or surgical mask.
No appointment is necessary.
