Pot seized at halfway house

Suspect has prior felony convictions

Chadwick M. Beyersdorf, 31, Waupaca, is charged with felony possession of marijuana.

On May 11, Waupaca Police Officer Jeffrey Mason responded to a request for assistance at a halfway house on the 500 block of south Washington Street.

The Department of Corrections had contracted a woman to inspect the house.

She reported finding two plastic bags of marijuana in a dresser drawer in Beyersdorf’s bedroom.

On Sept. 18, 2019, Beyersdorf was convicted of attempted burglary in Waupaca County, placed on three years of probation with six months in jail.

On Sept. 24, 2019, Beyersdorf was convicted of possession of methamphetamine and felony bail jumping in Shawano County and sentenced to one year in jail.

Both counties granted him furlough in December 2019.
