Moeller, Joseph

Joseph “Farmer Joe” Moeller, age 82, Town of Lebanon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at the family farm he loved on Monday, June 1, 2020, following a year and a half battle with cancer.

He grew up on the family homestead and attended Lone Pine School in Lebanon. On September 29, 1965, Joe was united in marriage to Ethel Techlin in Appleton. She preceded him in death in April of 1995. Joe loved everything about farming and farmed his entire life until his illness forced him to quit two years ago. He also loved his family, animals, the land, and tractors. “Farmer Joe” was a social butterfly who enjoyed visiting with anyone and everyone. He had the amazing ability to recall details of history and loved to share his knowledge. He also enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening.

He is survived by his sons: Roger, Roy, Raymond (Vannessa), and Ryan (Lauren); grandchildren: Derek (Patience) Juve, Desiree (special friend, Paul Behnke) Moeller, Destiny (fiancé, Jake White) Moeller, Miley Moeller, and Maveric Moeller; great-grandchildren, Anora and Alina Juve; siblings: John (Betty) Moeller, Ed (Janice) Moeller, Martin (Shirley) Moeller, Mary (Gene) Beyersdorf, and Betty (Arnie) Neuzil. Joe is further survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Helen (Carey) Moeller; wife Ethel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lester and Margaret Techlin; and special friend, Andy Kreutzberg.

Funeral services for Joe will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held Friday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
