Summer programs for youth

Waupaca Park and Rec offers outdoor activities

Waupaca’s Parks and Recreation Department is offering some new youth programs this summer.

“With our larger programs being canceled, we wanted to be able to offer the youth in our community something to do this summer while keeping safety in mind. The programs that we have come up with, we feel we can safely hold with proper social distancing in place and eliminate the use of shared equipment,” said Kassandra Humke, the city’s recreation program supervisor.

The youth baseball, softball and soccer programs were canceled this summer, as well as the first session of swimming lessons.
