Drug charges follow traffic stop

Deputy reports finding narcotics, marijuana

Waupaca County charged Jaiden N. Pierner, 19, West Allis, with possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana and possession of illegally obtained prescription drugs.

At 2:46 a.m. Sunday, June 28, Waupaca County Deputy Chad Repinski made a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 10 in the town of Caledonia.

Repinski identified the driver as Pernier.

A records check indicated her driver’s license was suspended.

Repinski also noticed an odor of marijuana in the car.

According to the criminal complaint, Pernier initially denied having marijuana in her vehicle.

She later allegedly admitted to smoking marijuana at the club in Waupaca where she works.

Repinski searched a backpack in the backseat and reported finding a plastic bag with marijuana, another plastic bag with about a dozen pills, and $1,132, mostly in $20 and $100 bills.

Pierner was also cited for a first OWI, operating while suspended and operating a vehicle without insurance.

She was released from custody on a $2,000 signature bond.
