Waupaca County reports 16 new covid cases in a single day
Waupaca County reported a record number of new COVID-19 cases Saturday, July 11.
In a single day, there were 16 new cases with positive test results.
Waupaca County’s total case count was up to 201 people on Wednesday, July 15.
Of the total, 47 cases are active and 141 recovered.
A total of 13 people have died in Waupaca County since March 27.
Covid cases in Waupaca County have a 6.5% fatality rate.
Statewide, the covid fatality rate is 2%.
A total of 12 workplaces have been investigated for covid infections.
Seven of those investigations are currently active.
Of those seven, three involve long-term care facilities and four are non-health-related businesses.
The state does not currently identify the businesses where there have been reported cases of COVID-19.
