Two women stranded on Embarrass River
Clintonville Fire Department was paged out to assist the Embarrass Fire Department with a water rescue on the Embarrass River Friday, July 17.
Two kayakers were stranded on a log after they had a mishap with their kayaks.
Embarrass firefighters launched a fishing boat to retrieve the women but the boat was too small.
They requested mutual aid from the Clintonville Fire Department with their water rescue rig.
The initial call went out shortly after 1 p.m. and Clintonville was paged about 1:20 p.m.
The two women were brought back safely to the boat landing at the Embarrass park.
