Woman accuses Alquinzon of punching, kicking her in the head

Matthew Locadio Alquinzon, 36, Waupaca, is charged with substantial battery, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct as acts of domestic abuse.

He is also charged with misdemeanor bail jumping.

At 9:42 a.m. Friday, July 17, ThedaCare Waupaca called law enforcement to report they were treating a woman with severe injuries from a beating.

Waupaca Police officers Brent Wittman and Jeffrey Mason went to the hospital and spoke with the victim.

She had an open wound on the back of her head, a bruised left eye and bruising on her shoulder.

She accused Alquinzon of punching her and kicking her repeatedly.

She told the officers they would find blood on Alquinzon’s blue shirt.

According to the criminal complaint, the officers found blood on Alquinzon’s shirt. They also reported finding a bloody medical gauze pad on the kitchen counter.

When the officers asked Alquinzon what happened, he said the victim was mad, she took his car and left the house.

When they asked Alquinzon about the bloody gauze and the blood on his shirt, he showed them a red mark near his elbow.

The officers read Alquinzon his Miranda rights and asked again what happened.

Alquinzon said the victim started on him when he got out of bed.

He reportedly admitted to punching and kicking her in the head and face.

Alquinzon said the mark on his elbow happened when he fell while hitting her.

A physician at ThedaCare said the victim suffered a fractured sinus bone and a fractured orbital bone around her eye.

Alquinzon was released from custody after posting a $1,500 cash bond.
