Behm, David A.

David A. Behm, age 67, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020.

David was born on March 17, 1953, the son of LaVern and Lela (Hansen) in Iola, WI. David married Julie Gore on July 21, 1991. He recently retired from the Waupaca Foundry after 47 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, and was an avid Wisconsin sports fan. David was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was an active member of the Men’s Choir.

David will be greatly missed by his wife, Julie; his children: Missy (Robby) Rettler of Black Creek, Adam Kluender of Waupaca, Lori (Jesse) Kleinschmidt of Altoona, Caitlin and Sydney Behm of Waupaca; his six grandchildren,:Riley, Kaden, Alexandra, Gavin Rettler, Addison and Sierra Kleinschmidt; honorary parent Virginia Niemuth of Fremont; brothers, Robert (Karen) of Waupaca and Steve (Susan) Behm of Crivitz as well as numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Chuck (Betty) Gore of Winneconne and sister-in-law Debby Gore of De Pere; longtime family friends and partner in crime Doug (Carey) Mai of Waupaca. He was preceded in death by his parents, LaVern and Lela Behm.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Holly Funeral Homes wants to remind the public that no more than 75 people will be allowed at any of our funeral home locations at any one time. Those present will be asked to wear masks and observe physical distancing. We sincerely encourage each person to make your decision whether to attend a visitation and/or services based on the best interest of your health and that of your community. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Pastor Andy Behrendt will officiate with burial of cremains to follow at the Lind Center Cemetery. Trinity Lutheran Church presently has a capacity of 100 people, with the wearing of masks and physical distancing observed.
