Annual event slated for Aug. 29
The Iola Lions is planning its annual Stuff the Bus event for Saturday, Aug. 29.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Iola Sentry store on Meadow Road
All donations support the Iola-Scandinavia School District. This fundraiser brings in donations to help the district provide supplies for students, as well as the items that the district will need more of due to COVID-19.
Monetary donations are accepted as well. Checks can be made out to the Iola-Scandinavia School District with Stuff the Bus in the memo.
The Iola-Scandinavia Chamber of Commerce made the first $500 donation to the district. “With many fundraisers not happening so far this year, this is one way that we can support our children, teachers and schools,” Diana Jones said.
