Felony OWI charged

Scandinavia man arrested while on motorcycle

Adam A. Miller, 46, Scandinavia, is charged with a fifth drunken driving offense and operating while revoked.

Shortly after 2 a.m. July 25, Waupaca County Deputy Hailey Casari was on patrol when she came across a motorcycle tipped over at a stop sign on East State and North Jackson streets, in Iola.

The operator, identified as Miller, was trying to stand the bike back up.

According to the criminal complaint, Miller was fumbling to get the motorcycle into gear, as if he had forgotten how.

When Casari asked Miller to step off the bike, he reportedly stumbled and almost fell.

Casari noticed the odor of alcohol and asked how much he had to drink.

Miller replied, “Not too much,” the complaint says.

Casari reported Miller stumbled and fell while attempting the walk-and-turn field sobriety test.

Miller has four prior drinking and driving convictions from 1995 to 2017.

He was released from custody after posting a $2,000 cash bond.
