Reybrock wins girls’ race

New London’s cross country team opened the season Aug. 27 with a Bay Conference dual meet with Seymour at Hatten Park.

Seymour captured the top four spots in the boys’ race, while New London had four of the top five finishers in the girls’ race.

Seymour won the boys’ event 16-48 and the Bulldogs won the girls’ competition 19-39.

Macy Reybrock won the girls’ race for New London with a time of 22:42.7. Other finishes and times for the Bulldogs included Jane Johnston (second, 23:24.2); Lindsey Spoehr (fourth, 24:53.4); Edyn Horn (fifth, 24:58.2); Anna Dreas (seventh, 26:19.4); Halia Sternhagen (eighth, 26:20.3); Piper Campbell (12th, 27:05.5); and Isabella Sloma (13th, 28:27.1).

Nick Tews led the New London boys by placing fifth in 20:48.9). Other finishes and times included Even Kedinger (eighth, 21:37.1); Mac Voight (10th, 22:09.1); Matt Lutz (11th, 22:18.6); Luke Heideman, 13th )23:23.7); Jack Kedinger (16th, 25:05.5); Jed Guerin (19th, 26:30.9); and Jonathan Peeters (20th, 26:33.7).

The Bulldogs will head to De Pere’s Southwest Park Thursday, Sept. 3, for a Bay Conference dual meet with West De Pere. Races are slated to get underway at 4 p.m.
