Victim hospitalized following incident
A 911 caller reported a stabbing shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, in the town of Matteson.
Clintonville officers were first to arrive at the scene.
According to investigators, a 23-year-old man stabbed a 25-year-old man in the lower abdomen.
The victim suffered serious injuries and remains in the hospital in stable condition.
The suspect, who also sustained some injuries, was taken into custody.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says this is an isolated incident and the public is not in any danger.
Names are being withheld at this time due to an ongoing investigation.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Clintonville Police Department, the Marion Police Department and the Clintonville Area Ambulance.
