Borchardt, Janet M.

Janet M. Borchardt, age 76 of Clintonville passed away Wednesday morning, September 16, 2020 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano.

Janet was born on January 1, 1944 in New London as the daughter of the late Leonard and Helen (Luebke) Friedrich. She spent her entire life as a resident of Clintonville and was united in marriage to James “Jim” Borchardt on November 28, 1964 at the St. Rose Catholic Church in town. Janet worked as a cook for a number of years at Grandma’s Cafe on Main Street in Clintonville and also for a time as a meter reader. She would look for any excuse to eat breakfast food at any meal time and loved going out to eat with her family and friends. Janet often enjoyed taking a relaxing ride in the car, traveling the countryside with her family looking for wildlife and enjoying God’s creation. She was a huge fan of the Denver Broncos and WWE. When one of those weren’t on, she’d be checking out the happenings on the cooking channel. Janet also enjoyed listening to country music and took any opportunity to spend quality time with her family.

Survivors include: her husband, James “Jim” Borchardt, Clintonville; son, Mike Borchardt, Clintonville; daughter, Lori (Dan) Marohl, Little Chute; granddaughters, Katelynn and Leah Marohl; sister-in-law, Mary Friedrich, Clintonville. Also numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Helen Friedrich; a son Timothy Borchardt in 2018; brothers, Arlen and Norman Friedrich, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy (Don) Zueske and Bob (Mary Lynn) Borchardt.
