She was born August 16, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of C. Henry and Erna (Jansen) Soenksen. On October 13, 1962, Mary married Glenn J. Gray in Milwaukee, WI and together they shared 37 years of marriage before he went home on November 24, 1999. She was a proud servant and employee of the Milwaukee Police Department and turned in her badge in 1967. Mary will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Mary is loved and remembered by her two daughters, Heidi and Kathy; Nanny to Emma, Alex, Jane, Christian, and Laura; her sister, Marga Kroening; her brother-in-law, Ron Gray; her godson, Doug Gray; and she loved all of her many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and her many family friends. Mary’s home was Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wales, WI and her daughters are very grateful and thankful for their home to mama and dad and us through the many decades. She was a loving member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Mary is now with her Lord; her parents, C. Henry and Erna Soenksen; her husband, Glenn Gray; Anne Gray; Dee Gray; and many others that were already called home.
A Graveside Service will be on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parfreyville Cemetery in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., WI with the Reverend Aaron Boerst officiating. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
