Reybrock continues winning

New London freshman wins two more races

Macy Reybrock is turning out be one of the Bay Conference’s top cross country runners this season.

The New London freshman has placed first in all of her races so far this season, including at recent meets with Xavier and Menasha.

She turned in times of 20:32.2 Sept. 17 at Hatten Park against Xavier and 20:28.8 Sept. 14 against Menasha at Winagamie Golf Course.

Xavier won the boys’ and girls’ championships Sept. 17, while the Bulldogs won both titles against Menasha.

The New London boys fell to Xavier 20-27, while the Xavier girls outscored the Bulldogs 24-33.

Other finishers for the Bulldogs in the girls’ race included Anna Dreas (fifth, 22:16.8); Jane Johnston (sixth, 22:26.9); Lindsey Spoehr (10th, 23:23.4); Halia Sternhagen (11th, 23:27.9); Edyn Horn (15th, 23:43); Allison Knoepsel (19th, 25:15.3); and Rianna Schultz (20th, 25:14).

New London’s Mac Voight won the boys’ race in 18:18. Other finishers for the Bulldogs included Nick Tews (seventh, 19:51.6); Evan Kedinger (eighth, 19:55.8); Matthew Lutz (ninth, 20:03.9); Logan Horn (13th, 20:38.9); Luke Heideman (14th, 20:40.2); Jed Guerin (16th, 21:50.1); and Gavin Hutchinson (17th, 22:14.8).

New London outscored Menasha 23-36 in the boys’ race and 19-40 in the girls’ competition.

The Bulldogs’ finishers in the boys’ race included Voight (first, 18:24.1); Tews (second, 19:16.8); Lutz (fifth, 20:11.9); Heideman (seventh, 20:50.7); Horn (eighth, 21:13.7); Hutchinson (ninth, 21:39); Guerin (10th, 22:02.3); and Mason Kloen (11th, 23:02.7).

New London’s runners in the girls’ race included Reybrock (first, 20:28.8); Johnston (second, 22:05.5); Dreas (third, 22:41.8); Sternhagen (sixth, 23:17.7); Spoehr (seventh, 23:22.6); Horn (eighth, 23:47.3); Elsie Abba (11th, 25:05.8); and Caitlin Herminath (12th, 25:15.6).

The Bulldogs will head to Seymour Thursday, Sept. 24, for a three-team meet with Seymour and Xavier before home matches at Hatten Park Thursday, Oct. 1, against Shawano and Thursday, Oct. 8, against West De Pere.
