Dollar General opens in Fremont

Chain helps support nonprofit literacy organizations

Dollar General has opened its new store in the town of Fremont.

The approximately 9,100-square-foot store is located at the corner of State Highway 110/96 and Grey Goose Trail.

It is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The store is expected to employ approximately six to 10 people, depending on the need.

Dollar General stores have household essentials, including food, cleaning supplies, paper products, over-the-counter medicines, hygiene products, baby items and more.

Aproximately 75% of the American population is within five miles of a Dollar General.

The company is committed to remaining open and in-stock to provide customers and communities with a convenient retail option during this time.

Dollar General is involved in the communities it serves, and is a supporter of literacy and education.

At the cash register of every Dollar General store, customers interested in learning how to read, speak English or prepare for their high school equivalency test may pick up a brochure with a postage-paid reply card that can be mailed for a referral to a local organization that offers free literacy services.

Since its inception in 1993, the Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded more than $186 million in grants to nonprofit organizations, helping more than 12 million individuals take their first steps toward literacy or continued education.
