Hortonville, Green Bay companies merge

Fox Cities Embroidery located at 251 E. Main Street in Hortonville, was recently purchased by Nick Vance, founder of NVR Branding of Green Bay.

Vance, who has over 18 years experience in the branding industry, purchased Fox Cities Embroidery from Jill Kramer with the intent to expand both local businesses.

Vance said both companies will continue to employ all members of their current teams while serving existing clients and expanding services.

“It’s amazing what Jill has built with all of the employees that she has, we’re not losing anybody,” said Vance.

“We’ve already hired and I’m looking to hire more,” he said.

Kramer founded Fox Cities Embroidery in 2006 and led the company through an expansion in 2015 that more than doubled the facility.

Vance said that while Kramer now looks forward to being able to spend more time with her family, she will remain involved in the company.

“We’re looking to grow, we’re looking to expand. We’re not looking to come in and dice up a company and sell it for parts,” said Vance.

“What I’m looking to do is really take what Jill has built and what I’ve built and synergistically work together to improve our efficiencies across the board.”

Maintaining community legacy

Vance said plans are to keep the name Fox Cities Embroidery.

“I’m looking to be part of the community, a part of Fox Cities Embroidery. I want to be part of this legacy,” said Vance.

Both he and Kramer agreed that was an integral part in the purchase of the company.

Kramer said, “I love this company and what we do, so when I decided to take a step back to have more time with my family, I was thrilled to find Nick to take the reins because we share so many beliefs and values about how businesses should serve their community.

“I trust Nick to take care of my team and my clients, and know that they’ll have a similar experience under his leadership,” Kramer said.

Vance’s original company, NVR Branding, offers a repertoire of services that fits directly with Fox Cities Embroidery’s signature service of embroidering and screen-printing branded attire for companies, schools, clubs and more.

NVR also has a reputation for excellence in serving a wide variety of businesses and organizations in their branding challenges, including protecting their visual brand identity and production of promotional products, sales tools and trade show signage.

Currently NVR Branding and Fox Cities Embroidery have 18 full and part-time employees with plans to hire more in the future.

“I’ve been actively interviewing and posting on job boards trying to find candidates who are the right fit,” said Vance.

“I tell all of our employees. We’re not a transactional company; we are a relationship-based company.”
