New members join I-S Chamber

New owner, new business in Iola

Eric Bestul recently purchased an established Iola business, Lessons From the Art.

His wife, Amanda, has also moved her Bestul Taxidermy operations into the back of the first floor of the building, located at 189 Main St., Iola.

Members of the Iola-Scandinavia Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed the two businesses as members.

Eric Bestul plans on maintaining the dance, music and art lessons the previous owner, Tammie Jo Berg, had established over the years.

Meanwhile, Berg moved across the street into the former BankFirst building to start her new business, Center For Living Well.

Bestul plans on adding other classes and small concerts to Lessons From the Art’s repertoire.

He is a multi-instrumentalist with many years of performing with bands, as a solo artist and as a duet with Amanda. He plays guitar, pedal steel, lap steel, banjo, mandolin, harmonica and bass, including standup.

Amanda Bestul works on a wide variety of animals and fish. When the Chamber visited, she was wrapping up work on a giraffe.
