Myszka, Kathleen Ann

Kathleen Ann Myszka, 73, passed away at her home surrounded by her children, on November 1, 2020.

Kathleen was born on April 4, 1947 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Robert and Ann (Dzibinski) Zydowicz. She married Kenneth F. Myszka on October 7, 1967 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ken moved Kathy, the city girl, to Waupaca in 1973 making a home on a 40-acre farm. Kathy and Ken’s marriage was blessed with three children during their 47 years together. Kathy was a proud homemaker. She worked at Ron & Lloyds and Fletchers Jewelry prior to Ken’s retirement. Kathy enjoyed spending time with Ken at their retirement home in St. Germain. Besides time with her family, Kathy loved a good get together especially the many years of the Myszka Anniversary hayrides that lasted 25 years. She loved cooking and canning and was always asked to bring her “famous” cheesecake to all the get togethers. She also loved bowling with “the girls” for many years. One of her most favorite things to do was watch her beloved Green Bay Packers and then discuss the game with her son before, during and afterwards. Kathy loved to laugh and enjoy life and if you were lucky enough to enjoy a good laugh with Kathy you will know how much her laughter will be missed. Kathy always said her greatest accomplishment were her children. Nothing gave her more joy than spending time with her two grandchildren. Kathy was known to them as Mrs. Claus because of her love of everything Christmas and giving gifts. Her children and grandchildren brought so much joy to her life especially during her courageous battle with cancer giving her the will to keep on going.

Kathy is survived by: her three children, Lisa (Terry Uhlenbrauck) Myszka, De Pere, WI; Lori (Scott) Smith, Beaver Dam, WI; Kenny R. (Natalie) Myszka, Waupaca, WI. She is also survived by grandsons, Nathan Smith and Kenny T. Myszka; two sisters-in-law, Barb Zydowicz and Pat Zydowicz; her sister like cousin, Charlene (Ronald) Bilski. She is further survived by brother and sisters-in-law: Sister Mary Ursula; Sister Mary Carlotta; Jim (Marlene) Myszka; Betty (Dan) Miskulin; Joyce (Gary) Binning; Jerry (Ronda) Myszka; Glenn (Sharon) Myszka; Cindy (Eric) Drewek; Randall (Patty) Myszka; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert Zydowicz and William Zydowicz and her beautiful granddaughter, Noel Smith.

Holly Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Burial will take place at Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Town of Farmington, Waupaca Co., WI. following a private family service on Friday November 5th. Due to Covid-19 Kathy has requested a private service with a Celebration of Life at a later date. A memorial has been setup for her favorite children’s charity, Noel’s Angel Walk.

Lisa, Lori and Kenny would like to extend a special thank you to Park Vista Staff, Theda Care Hospice and Oncology for all their support during this difficult time.
