Schoneck, Terry R.

Terry R. Schoneck, age 68 of the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, November 6, 2020 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in New London.

Terry Ray Schoneck was born February 15, 1952 in Clintonville to Leland and Edith (Johnson) Schoneck. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dupont where he enjoyed playing dartball over the years. Terry graduated from Marion High School in 1970 and on May 24, 1980 he was united in marriage to Margaret Ann Mehlberg. The couple then joined St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Symco where they have been members ever since. Terry worked on the family farm while also working for Dupont Cheese. In 1989 Terry and Margaret purchased the family farm and enjoyed farming by each other’s side for many years. Terry had farming in his blood. His heart belonged to his farm, family, and his Lord. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors and looked forward to deer and squirrel hunting each fall.

Survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Margaret Ann Schoneck; son, Robert (Kelsie) Schoneck; father-in-law, Carl Mehlberg; special niece, Candy (Ron) Graper; brother, Gary (Barb) Schoneck; and nephew, Wade Schoneck. Also survived by numerous cousins. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Edith Schoneck, a brother Evan Schoneck, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his mother-in-law Margaret E. Mehlberg.

Terry’s funeral service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. at the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at a later date. Terry’s family would like to take a second to thank the Marion and Manawa Ambulance Services, the Waupaca County Sheriff Deputies, Eric Krause from the Marion Police Department, and the members of the Marion Fire Department for all of their help.
