Edward John Graunke Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 8, 2020.
He was a loving husband to Renata for 57 year and devoted father to Edward Graunke Jr. (Nanette), Laura Durkin and Michael Graunke (Andrea); proud grandfather of Nicholas and Natalie Graunke, Matthew Durkin, Jackson and Keegan Graunke; cherished brother of Judy Cuda and the late Louise Essig.
He served in the United States Army from 1955-1959 as a bomb disposal specialist. He was a proud lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America. His journey began as a cub scout and ended with the highest honors as a commissioner. He was also very active at Zion Lutheran Church in Lyons, Illinois where he served in many different positions until he and Renata moved to Waupaca in 2003. While living in Waupaca he was able to enjoy his love of nature and the lakes. He had a passion for boating, fishing, water skiing, family and friends. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
We would like to thank the Wisconsin Veterans home for the wonderful care he was given when he resided there.
