COVID-19 testing sites extended

ThedaCare offers free testing in Waupaca, New London

ThedaCare has again extended its mobile testing sites in rural communities, as well as the testing location at ThedaCare Physicians-Neenah.

Since October, ThedaCare teams have conducted thousands of COVID-19 tests in Northeast and Central Wisconsin through testing sites in Neenah and rural communities.

To best manage the community spread of COVID-19, testing and contact tracing are critical.

Testing gives health systems insight to the breadth and depth of those infected in communities, and helps them better understand the spread of the virus.

Testing will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Monday, Dec. 7, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca.

• Tuesday, Dec. 8, at ThedaCare Medical Center-New London.

• Tuesday, Dec. 15, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca.

• Thursday, Dec. 17, at ThedaCare Medical Center-New London.

In addition, the testing site at ThedaCare Physicians-Neenah has been extended to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.

The drive-through testing is free and is available to all community members experiencing symptoms, those who believe they may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 and anyone who is worried about possibly having the virus. Though appointments are not required, they are recommended.

Individuals can pre-register online at doineedacovid19test.com or register onsite.

They do not need to be a ThedaCare patient to receive a test.

Those seeking testing do not need to be a resident of the community where the testing site is located.

Individuals under 18 years old must have a parent or legal guardian present to consent to testing.

Results will be given online, or through a phone call if necessary.

For those unsure about their symptoms and who want more information about whether or not they should seek testing, they can access the ThedaCare online symptom checker at ThedaCareCovid19.org.

After completing a brief questionnaire about their symptoms, individuals will be given more information about next steps to take, including how to schedule a test.

The site also includes information about COVID-19, testing, online care options and other news and updates.
