Foertsch, Jean M.

Jean M Foertsch was called home on December 31, 2020.

She was born on April 24, 1938 to the late Louis and Alice (nee Wilson) Clark. She was united in marriage to Erwin Foertsch on October 24, 1970. They made their home in the Town of Brookfield where she was dedicated to the community. In her spare time from being a homemaker, she served as a poll worker on election days, was a member of the volunteer fire department as an EMT and the head of the women’s auxiliary. Jean loved reading, talking on the phone with family and friends, traveling, gardening with her husband Erv and the family dog Pokey, canning the garden harvest and crafting. She was extremely creative with her painting and card making. Her retirement years were spent first at their lake home in Wautoma and then they settled in Waupaca. She had a love for the water, chain of lakes, South Park and Waupaca Beach. Family was very important to Jean. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren loved the nights when she would get them in their pj’s, pop the popcorn and she and grandpa would take them out looking for deer. She was patient, a good listener and took so much joy from the small moments and experiences with her family. In addition to caring for her own family, Jean was an outstanding neighborhood mom to the many friends of her three children. Everyone was always welcome in their home.

Jean is survived by her husband of 50 years, Erwin Foertsch; daughters, Linda Lien, Lori (fiancé Randy Pinsch) Stoltz; grandchildren, Julie (Brian) Jarvis, Laurie (Dan) Pritzl, Zach (Karla) Lien; great-grandchildren: Brandon, Claire, Luke, Brielle, Izetta and Benjamin. She is further survived by other relatives and Friends. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Alice Clark; Brother James Clark, son Jerry Hankey and son-in-law Christopher Lien.

Burial took place at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Raw Hide. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
