Erika Berge of Menasha has been selected as the 2021 Snodeo Queen.

She enjoys four-wheeling, fishing and hunting with her dad.

“I grew up snowmobiling by myself at age 7,” she said. “My family comes from a very redneck background. They do crazy stuff and it reminds me of a lot of events that happen at Snodeo.”

Berge decided to run for Snodeo Queen to add some excitement to her life.

“I have attended Snodeo for many years,” she said. “With everything going on in the world right now, I needed something really exciting to add to my life and see how I could make a difference.”

Snodeo will take place Feb. 20-21, on Bear Lake near Manawa.

Snodeo is important to the Manawa community, as it brings more traffic to the area, according to Berge.

“It helps small businesses that wouldn’t necessarily get recognized if Snodeo didn’t happen,” she said.

Berge is looking forward to the annual event’s ATV and dirt bike races.

She lives in Menasha with her husband Todd and their dogs, Blaze and Mal.

Berge is a 4K special education paraprofessional in the Menasha Joint School District.

“I have my associate degree in early childhood education through Fox Valley Technical College,” Berge said. “I am currently pursuing my BSE dual licensure in early childhood education and special education through the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.”

In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, being outdoors and going fishing.
