Three teams get home games

Three area teams will open the WIAA State Boys’ Basketball Tournament with a home game and two of them will have a bye in the first round.
The tournament will get underway Tuesday, Feb. 16, with regional quarterfinal games in five divisions.
Clintonville and Iola-Scandinavia have a bye in the first round and will not play until Friday, Feb. 19.
Clintonville is a No. 2 seed in Division 2, while Iola-Scandinavia is a No. 1 seed in Division 4.
Here’s a rundown of area teams, with all games scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
Division 1
Hortonville received a No. 5 seed and will head to No. 4 Wausau West Feb. 16.
Division 2
Clintonville will host No. 3 Shawano or No. 6 Green Bay West Feb. 19. New London is seeded fifth and will play at No. 4 Fox Valley Lutheran Feb. 16, while sixth-seeded Waupaca will head to third-seeded Freedom that night.
Division 3
Weyauwega-Fremont is a No. 5 seed in its bracket and will open the tournament Feb. 16 at No. 4 Wautoma.
Division 4
Iola-Scandinavia will host No. 4 Rosholt or No. 5 Wild Rose Feb. 19. Manawa received a No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Hilbert Feb. 16.
Regional finals are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20.
