Robert “Bob” C. Turnmeyer, age 84 of Pine River, WI passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021.
Bob was born on January 28, 1937; son of the late Bernard and Marian (LaMore) Turnmeyer in Oshkosh, WI. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Airforce on February 10, 1955in Milwaukee, WI and retired from the U.S. Airforce on June 30, 1978 at McGuire Airforce Base in New Jersey. Bob married Maureen Simmons on August 18, 1962 in Great Britain. He then worked for the Waupaca Post Office for 17 years after his retirement from the U.S. Airforce. Bob enjoyed playing Texas Hold’em Poker and spending time with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Maureen Turnmeyer of Pine River, WI; children: Lei (John) Peskie of Waupaca, WI, Kevin (Denise) Turnmeyer of Oshkosh, WI, Michelle (Claudine) Clark-Turnmeyer of Madison, WI, Shannon (Robert) Eggers of Wild Rose, WI; grandchildren; Sarah (Alan), Jeremy, Nicholas, Kayli, Megan, Prior; great-grandchildren; Lilly, Louis, Lukas; sisters, Lynn (Darrell) Gehrke, Patricia Misterek; special family friends, Elizabeth Sorenson, Michelle Faust, also many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bernard Jr., Kenneth, Gordon.
Private Graveside Services will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for Heart and Lung Research.
