The Manawa School District is putting a new twist on Prom after having to cancel some of its Homecoming events last year.

Prom-Coming will take place the week of April 26 to May 1 at Little Wolf High School.

Dress-up days will include Monday, April 26: Dress Like a Teacher Day; Tuesday, April 27: Beach Day; Wednesday, April 28: Class Color Day (students will wear their Homecoming shirts); Thursday, April 29: City vs. Country Day; and Friday, April 30: School Spirit Day.

Games on April 28 will begin at 4 p.m. and include football; volleyball; an eating contest; and a slip and slide.

Only Little Wolf High School students will be allowed to attend. Masks will be required for participants and fans.

The week will conclude Saturday, May 1, with the Prom dance from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Union Thresheree grounds in Symco.

The theme of the dance is “Bright Lights, Big City.”

A coronation will take place at 9 p.m., with parents allowed on the grounds for pictures from 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Parents will receive wrist-tickets from their students. These tickets are required to get on the grounds.

Masks will be required for all.

This year’s prom court includes seniors Katie Buschke, Ireland Griffin, Brooklyn Zielke, Josie Nichols, Aubrie Seeger, Grace Johnson, Sawyer Strebe, Mason Wiesner, Riley Krenke, Nick Gorman, Andrew Elmhorst and Colin Moser.

Class representatives are freshmen Spencer Strebe and Alexi Klotzbuecher; sophomores Brandon Bierman and Brooklyn Cheever; and juniors Zachary Schertz and Hailee Fenske.
