Dorothy Jean Hope Dieck (nee Riemer), age 95 of Neenah, formerly of the Town of Pella, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Valley VNA Senior Care, Neenah.

Dorothy was born March 2, 1926 in the Township of Pella, daughter to the late Reinhard & Linda (Westphal) Riemer. She grew up in the Town of Pella and later graduated from Marion High School in 1944. She worked for a short time at Employers Mutual in Wausau, and W.P.L. in Clintonville before marriage. Dorothy was united in marriage to Gerald “Squeaker” B. Dieck of Marion, on April 17, 1949 in the Town of Pella. The couple lived in Marion until 1952, when they moved to Clintonville. In 1993, they moved to their retirement home in the Town of Pella. Gerald passed away in 2008, but Dorothy showed courage and resolve to stay in her home, which she did successfully for eight years. In 2016, she moved to Neenah to be closer to her daughter. Dorothy was a member of Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville. She enjoyed family vacations, and loved visits from her family, especially later in life. Dorothy was known for her gardening skills and her beautiful African Violets. She was astounded by the beauty of nature and loved bird-watching as well. All of the nurses and care-givers at Valley VNA loved talking with her and many noted her beautiful smile which always lit up a room. She loved children and had special relationships with her great-nieces and nephews.
