Library expands hours, offers laptops

Clintonville open by appointment for computer use, browsing

The Clintonville Public Library is expanding its open hours for curbside pickup, browsing and computer use by appointment.

The new hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

The library now welcomes children into the building when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Patrons can visit the library by appointment for either a 30-minute browsing time slot or a one-hour computer use time slot.

Drop-ins are welcome too, subject to availability.

Those who visit the library are required to wear a mask and to continue following the physical distancing guidelines and using hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the building.

Those unable to wear a mask may request curbside service by emailing [email protected] or calling 715-823-4563.

Library materials may be returned in the outside book drops.

Book donations are currently not being accepted.

The library has two laptops available for adults to use, thanks to a grant.

To check out a laptop, a person must:

• Be 18 years of age or older;

• Have an established library card (at least one year in the library system) in good standing;

• Show a valid Wisconsin driver’s license or state ID;

• Read the library’s laptop policy and sign the agreement.

People may receive more information about the laptops and other programs by calling the library, visiting its website at www.clintonvillelibrary.org, or following the library on Facebook.
