Busy sports day at WHS

Six home contests on Comets’ schedule

Thursday, May 6, is shaping up to be a busy sports day at Waupaca High School.

The schedule for that day includes varsity and junior varsity baseball and softball games; a track invitational; and a girls’ soccer game.

The track team will host Manawa, Marathon, New London, Pacelli, Rosholt, Tri-County and Winneconne for the Waupaca Invitational, which starts at 4 p.m.

The girls’ soccer team has a North Eastern Conference matchup with Marinette set for 4:30 p.m. on the practice field off of King Road.

Meanwhile, the varsity and JV1 baseball teams will host Clintonville at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity and JV1 softball teams will host Denmark. The varsity softball game will start at 4:30 p.m., with a three-inning JV1 contest to follow at approximately 6 p.m.
