Hansen, Joan K.

Joan K. Hansen, age 76 of the Town of Navarino, Shawano County passed away surrounded by her loving family at her home Wednesday morning April 28, 2021.

Joan Kathleen Conlon was born on November 26, 1944 in New London as the daughter of the late Richard and Vera (Gunderson) Conlon. She graduated from Clintonville High School and was united in marriage to Ronald “Ron” Hansen on December 8, 1962 at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. The couple farmed in the Town of Navarino their entire life until Ron’s passing on October 8, 2007. Joan’s faith was evident as a member at Christus, but she really looked forward to taking her grandchildren to Sunday School and often sat in on the lessons. She absolutely doted on her grandchildren and looked forward each year to their summer break from school so she could be around them more often. Joan also kept busy with the local media; writing articles for “Erma Bombeck” in the Tribune Gazette and Clintonville Chronicle and even had her own radio show on WRJQ and WLKE. Joan’s two favorite things in life were her love of her Lord and her love of her family.

Survivors include: her children: Dawn (Mark) Shepard, Chris “Tuna” (Cathie) Hansen, and Kathleen “Katie” Hansen, and her “adopted” son; Kevin (Dorthy “Tiny” Wilton) Dey; grandchildren: Kristopher Shepard, Karl (Lauren) Shepard, Kelly Shepard, Cole Hansen, and Coy Hansen; great-granddaughter, Aspen Rita Shepard; siblings: Karen (Harold “Fuzz”) Klegin, Daniel (Carla) Conlon, Miranda (Marlyn) Dey, and Kenneth (Kristy Young) Conlon; nieces and nephews: Jeni (Rich) Mursau, Joey Klegin, Bobbi Jo (Tim) Pues, Robin (Pat Norder) Conlon, Bobbi Jean (Casey) Wyss, Michael (Carey) Dey, Amber (Brandon) Roberts and Wesley Pues; great-nieces and great-nephews: Ty Mursau, Joelly Mursau, Grayson Wyss, Gavin Wyss, Brynnlee Dey, Carter Dey, and Tate Joseph Roberts.
