Manawa baseball team now 5-0

Wins continue to add up for the Manawa baseball team.

The Wolves improved to 5-0 on the season May 4 with a 7-4 win over Iola-Scandinavia at Taylor Field.

Manawa broke a scoreless tie with a pair of runs in the top of the second inning and added another in the third.

A four-run sixth inning gave the Wolves a 7-0 lead, but the Thunderbirds answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame to complete the scoring.

Deion Stroud picked up the win on the mound for the Wolves and Will Tappa took the loss.
