New London’s Brinkman strikes out 10 batters

Connor Brinkman turned out to be too much for the Waupaca baseball team.

The New London senior struck out 10 batters and had two hits for the Bulldogs May 13 in a 7-1 nonconference win over the Comets at Waupaca High School.

New London scored four runs in the top of the first innings before adding one more in the second and two in the third.

Waupaca scored its run in the first inning.

Brinkman, Gabe Wohlt and Owen Batten had two hits each for New London as the Bulldogs improved to 6-3 on the season.

Waupaca fell to 3-5.
