WHS students present musical

Recorded show can be accessed online

The Waupaca High School Concert Choir students are finalizing their rehearsals for the upcoming recorded musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

The YouTube link to the musical can be accessed on the “Comet Choirs” Facebook page from May 27 through June 6.

Based on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schultz, the show is suitable for all ages, according to Eric Conner, Waupaca High School musical director.

“It was the perfect show to produce this year because of the small cast and live performance restrictions,” said Conner.

Highlighting a day in the life of Charlie Brown, this fun and upbeat musical brings the popular Peanuts’ characters to life.

The book, music and lyrics were written by Clark Gesner, additional dialogue by Michael Mayer, and additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa

Monica Reeves, Waupaca High School drama director, is assisting with the production.

The cast includes Caleb Mullet as Charlie Brown, Maddi Bassette as Lucy, Gabe Klug as Schroeder, Isaiah Knueppel as Snoopy, Hannah Holterman as Sally, Seth Rowland as Linus, and Gracie Lewis as the Little Red-Haired Girl. Additional choir members will be added to the larger scenes.
