Mix drives in four runs for New London

New London’s softball team headed to Weyauwega May 20 and returned home with an 11-0 nonconference win over Weyauwega-Fremont.

The Bulldogs wrapped up the game with three runs in the top of the fifth.

Kenna Mix had three of New London’s nine hits, drove in a game-high four runs and scored twice, while Maribel Glodowski, Shelby Glodowski and Izzy Gullixon also scored a pair of runs.

New London scored three runs in the third and fifth innings; two in the second and fourth; and one in the first.

Winning pitcher Paeton Kringel held the Warhawks to one hit and struck out 11 batters over four innings.

Kelsie Bleck gave up eight hits over 4 1/3 innings and took the loss.

Anna Meyer and Hannah Schneider had hits for the Warhawks.

New London improved to 11-4 on the season, while the Warhawks fell to 3-8.
