Floyd James Harris “Junior” of Waupaca, WI, age 80, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Bethany Home, Waupaca, WI.
He was born in the Township of Helvetia, Ogdensburg, WI to the late Floyd and Irene (Mosher) Harris on October 31, 1940. He was a dairy farmer and worked at Benson Corporation. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, fixing things, lending a hand and telling amazing stories and jokes. He played guitar and enjoyed entertaining family with his songs. He was a loving father, and grandfather, who brought joy and laughter to family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Alonso and Millicent Irene (Mosher) Harris; his sisters, Mildred (Abe) Batten, Eileen (Loren) Harris, and Ellen (Don Olson); and his brother, Willy (Paula) Harris. He is survived by: his sister, Lyla Buckholt; his former wife, Carol (Schroeder); his children, Dale (Juli Hobson), Suzanne (Brad Maggard), Linda (Sujan Singh) and Laura; grandchildren, Deanne, Lucas, Lauren, Anika, and Ethan and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The Memorial Service will be on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. The visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. The family would like to thank Waupaca Elder Care Home and Bethany Home for their kind care.
