VFW post celebrates centennial

Ceremony slated for June 12 in Clintonville

The Arthur Gensler Veterans Of Foreign Wars Post 664 will celebrate its 100th anniversary from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 12.

The ceremony with state and city officials starts at 12:30 p.m. at the VFW Post, 10 W. Morning Drive, Clintonville. Snacks and Refreshments to follow.

VFW Post 664 was mustered in Clintonville on March 25, 1921. The post is named after Arthur Gensler from Clintonville, a private in the U.S. Army in WWI who was wounded in action and later died in France on October 24, 1918, while serving in the 26th Infantry Division.
