Kathleen Ann (Sexton) Olson, age 71, of New London, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 11, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Appleton surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was born June 9, 1950 in New London. She was the daughter of the late Dave and Annette Sexton. Kathy graduated from Manawa Little Wolf High School in 1968. Her years of employment included banking, working for the School District of New London, selling insurance self-employment, and working for St. Elizabeth Hospital. As the oldest of seven, Kathy enjoyed hosting gatherings in her home for her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. She also enjoyed her time with family and friends at the family cottage, the house on the lake, and travels to the Caribbean islands. She loved her time in the sunshine and being by the water!
Kathy is survived by her sons, Doug (Jamie) Hansen, Brian (Kristin) Hansen; five grandchildren – Noah, Sabrina, Sage, Brya, and Colter. She is further survived by her siblings: Mike (special friend Maureen), Pat, Jim, Mary (Larry), Mark (Deb), sister-in-law, Lona; nieces, nephews, and close friend and travel partner, Jane Bambery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Kirk and her brother, Jerry.
A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for their compassionate care during Kathy’s final days.
Funeral services for Kathy will be held on Friday, June 18 at 6 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London. A visitation for Kathy will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 18 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
