330 vehicles displayed at New London event

The Wolf River Classic Chevy Club’s 33rd Annual Car Show set an all-time record with 330 vehicles on display inside New London‘s Hatten Park on Sunday, June 6.

“It was a great day and we had a monster turnout,” said Chad Karpf, life-long member of the Wolf River Classic Chevy Club.

“This is an event for everyone,” he said.

This year the hot weather didn’t seem to deter car enthusiasts from venturing out to show their collector vehicles.

“The New London Lions Club, Golden Girls and local AMVETS chapter did a good job of keeping people cooled off and refreshed in the heat,” he said.

The Lions Club and Golden Girls handled food and beverages while the AMVETS served up ice cream for the event.

Karpf said the Wolf River Classic Chevy Club donates all of its proceeds from the show to Project Backpack in New London.
